Sketch Diary: Calm grace

She feels like kind of a ghost, yeah? She sees you, she understands you, and it's ok. She's not freaking out about anything. All those things about yourself that make you anxious - she gets it. She'll be there when you're ready to be calm, too.

Sketch Diary: Rainbow filter on a bellydancer

So I've been taking photos of my sketches with just my phone lately. Don't have the time or energy to whip out my DSLR everytime I do some sketches. The only real struggle with using my phone has been finding an editor app that I like. Aviary didn't work for me, several others just didn't work out. Now I'm using Fotor and so far it's pretty darn cool.  This has a nice rainbow filter on it. I use to do that sort of thing in photoshop exclusively, back in the day. Would take some 6 steps or so. Now it's just click - done. Love it.

Sketch Diary: Headbands and heart attacks

This started as a simple eye study. My intention was to do a bunch of eyes but after I did that first eye, it looked lonely without a nose... and that nose came out super cute and it needed lips... and so I slapped the rest on there just to finish it off because reasons. She just looks like she's on the verge of an emotional break, yeah?

You know that look. Throwin' some shade. Not a lot. Just enough to let people know you're paying attention... and you don't quite approve hah. I can't remember what I was day dreaming about while I sketched this back in... June? Jeeeeez. Anyway, hope you like her.
